Environmental and Natural Resources Associate – Portland or Seattle

Schwabe currently has an immediate need in its Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington office for a full-time environmental and natural resources associate to work in a thriving, diverse practice.  The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 

 

  • 2-6 years of related experience with knowledge of environmental and natural resources

  • Knowledge and experience with state and federal laws related to environmental cleanup, air quality, fish and wildlife, hazardous wastes, water quality, removal/fill (wetlands), and water rights

  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal Indian Law

  • A track record demonstrating exemplary client service, organizational skills, and teamwork

  • Excellent skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and in communication

  • Business development experience and strong interest in engaging in natural resource related industries

  • Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar admissions or eligibility to waive-in

  •  The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on job skills and experience. The position is also eligible for discretionary merit bonus consideration at the end of each calendar year.
