Real Estate Attorney - Vancouver

Schwabe has an opening for a full-time transactional Real Estate attorney to join the Commercial Real Estate & Construction Industry Group in its Vancouver, Washington office.  The successful candidate will work with business, tax and construction lawyers in a team-oriented approach.


The ideal candidate must have some portable business to bring, be committed to integration into the Vancouver business community, and possess wide-range knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, joint ventures, leasing, acquisitions, mortgage and asset-based financing, dispositions and development of real property and assets, with specific experience in the following areas:

  • Preparing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, reviewing and resolving related title issues, addressing due diligence items, and preparing closing documents and handling closing issues
  • Negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial and industrial leases for both landlords and tenants
  • Commercial loan documentation – drafting and reviewing
  • Negotiating, preparing and revising restrictive covenants, subordination agreements, and loan agreements and modifications

JD degree from an accredited law school is required.  Washington State Bar admission preferred but not required.
