Employee Benefits Attorney - Portland

  • Designing, drafting, amending administration and governance of qualified retirement plans under Code § 401(a) and other types of tax-favored retirement plans subject to 403(b) and 457(b), etc.

  • Working with clients to correct documentary, administrative and fiduciary errors in retirement plans, health and welfare plans and executive compensation arrangements

  • Assisting with benefits and compensation aspects of corporate transactions and restructurings, reductions-in-force and change-in-control situations

  • Helping clients design, document, and administer ERISA health and welfare plan documents and summary plan descriptions

  • Advising employers on contract and other trust law issues in connection with multiemployer plans

  • Analyzing and advising on multiemployer pension plan withdrawal liability

  • Experience with employment-related documents and 409A issues

  • Advising clients on due diligence and reviewing Merger & Acquisition documents for ERISA related items

  • An understanding of non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements and Code §§ 409A, 457, 280G, etc.

Employment Law Lawyer - Portland, Vancouver, or Seattle
